A Warsaw Medical University graduate. In 2007 she graduated from Postgraduate Course in Medical Law, Bioethics and Sociology, Faculty of Law and Administration, Warsaw University.
She commenced work at Warsaw Medical University in 2002, initially at the Department of Physiotherapy, 2nd Medical Faculty, and beginning on March 1st she became assistant at the Division of Teaching and Outcomes of Education, Faculty of Health Sciences. She became an assistant professor at the Department after being awarded a degree of Doctor of Health Sciences by the Departmental Board of the Faculty of Health Sciences on the basis of a PhD thesis entitled: "Assessment of the impact of the curriculum content in university-level schools of different educational profiles on occupational attitudes of physiotherapy students against the background of transformation of the Polish system of training of physiotherapists". On March 12th, 2013, she defended her habilitation thesis composed of a series of studies entitled: "Development of occupational attitudes of physiotherapy students from different European and world countries" and became a Doctor Habilitatus of Health Sciences at the Faculty of Health Sciences. In October 2013 she became Head of the Division of Teaching and Outcomes of Education.
Her teaching-related activity has been mostly devoted to methodology of research in the field of health sciences. In 2011 she was the Coordinator of Initiative Group for implementation of distance learning at Warsaw Medical University. Between 2012-2014, she participated in the Project: "Q: Culture of School Quality: Development of System of Quality Management of Education at Warsaw Medical University” under the European Social Fund within the Human Capital Operational Programme. In 2013 she was a visiting professor in Escola Superior De Saude Da Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa in Lisbon (Portugal) within the LLP Erasmus Programme Individual Teaching Programme For Teaching Staff Mobility. She participated in the implementation of an innovative student examination system that applies an on-line exam platform at Warsaw Medical University. She supervised over 70 Bachelor's and Master's theses developed by students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, WMU.
Her scientific interests are associated mostly with the broadly defined improvement of quality of teaching health sciences students, including particularly the use of modern information technology tools and various distance learning methods, the issues of effectiveness and efficiency of medical higher education systems: evaluation of education quality and implementation of new educational methods. The other field of her scientific interests is the issue of using research results in clinical practice (evidence-based practice) of selected groups of health sciences specialists, including: nurses, midwives, dieticians, public health specialists, as well as the development of occupational attitudes of health sciences students, including particularly their interest in participation in research.
Joanna Gotlib is the author or co-author of over 70 publications in Polish and foreign scientific journals and chapters in Polish and foreign scientific monographs, she has actively participated in over 40 national and international scientific conferences, presenting more than 50 conference communications.

In 2003 he graduated from the Pharmaceutical Faculty, Medical University of Łódź and in 2007, at the same Faculty, he defended his PD thesis on molecular biology and pharmacogenetics. Since 2008 he has been an assistant professor in the Division of Teaching and Outcomes of Education, Faculty of Health Science, Warsaw Medical University. He has published over 30 scientific papers both in Polish and foreign biomedical journals. In his scientific activity he has been focused on the issues related to the methodology of scientific and clinical research as well as interdisciplinary issues concerning molecular studies. In his scientific approach he focuses on the ideas of evidence-based medicine (EBM).

In 1973, he graduated from the Department of Biology at the University of Warsaw and took up employment in the Division of Parasitology, Polish Academy of Science (at present: the Institute of Parasitology), and, beginning in October 1975, due to the start-up of the 2nd Medical Faculty, in the Division of General Biology and Parasitology at the Medical University in Warsaw. Rebandel has been teaching medical biology to students of the 2nd MF, and with the start-up of the English Division; also to English-speaking students. He defended his PhD thesis on cytobiological effects of an electromagnetic field in 1983 at the 1st Medical Faculty. In 1985-86 he completed a one-year internship at the Division of Biochemistry of the Tufts Medical University in Boston (USA). In 2001 he organised and then, until 2013, managed the Independent Laboratory (at present: Division) of Teaching and Outcomes of Education. He developed curricula and initiated teaching of the Methodology of Research studies; for the new Bachelor degree majors launched at the University at that time and in 2003 he developed a curriculum and organised Pedagogical training - course for the staff of the University and doctoral students. Since 1993 he has been the Secretary of the Admission Board of the WMU. As the President of the Trade Union for Warsaw Medical University (formerly: Medical Academy) Lecturers, since the beginning of the 90s., he has been participating in the works of the Rector's Board and the WMU Senate as well as the following Senate commissions: electoral, statutory, budget, and publications. He is a member of the University Commission for Education Quality. Since 2004 he has been a member/head of the examination board at state examinations (LEK and LDEK) in the Centre of Medical Examination. Since 2005 he has been reviewing matura exams in biology for the Central Examinations Board. He is the author or co-author of over 40 scientific papers, co-author of and scientific editor of Polish edition of two handbooks (PZWL) and author of a chapter in a handbook: Biology; for secondary school of general education (WSiP). His scientific interests comprise the issue of quality of education and evaluation of students as well as the quality of admission procedures.

Bachelor's and Master's degree graduate in Midwifery at the Warsaw Medical University. On June 24, 2013, she was awarded a Master's degree with distinction for her thesis entitled:
“Assessment of knowledge of midwives about the scope of professional liability under the amended provisions of law”. On October 1, 2013 she commenced a PhD programme at the Division of Teaching and Outcomes of Education, Faculty of Health Science, Warsaw Medical University; her work is devoted to an assessment of the possibility to conduct research and implement its results into practice by nurses and midwives in Poland.

Law graduate (Department of Law and Administration of Warsaw University) and a doctoral student in the Division of Teaching and Outcomes of Education, Faculty of Health Science, Warsaw Medical University. His scientific interests comprise medical law, particularly civil liability in medical professions, as well as the issues of postgraduate education for medical graduates.
